What You Can Expect

In the morning , your guide will pick you up for a morning walking through the jungle tropical rain forest. Undisturbed for centuries by outside influences, nature has been left to run its course in this spectacular area of Bali. Temples and hillsides are covered by jungle, fruit trees and other habitat. Waterfalls tumble off the precipices by the dozen. Trekkers may see deer, black monkeys and squirrels. Gitgit waterfall is located in the plateau area with the height about 35 meters and it is surrounded by tropical tree and emits the Gitgit waterfall constantly natural water debit during the year. Waterfall voice around the charming nature was amazing and it was the separate attraction which can be enjoyed by each visitor who comes to visit. This temple complex boasts magnificent traditional architectural features throughout its courtyards and enclosures as well as expansive garden landscapes comprised of lotus and fish ponds.The temple was built circa 1634 by the then ruler of the Mengwi kingdom, Tjokerda Sakti Blambangan, with Chinese architectural inspirations, and underwent a significant restoration project in 1937. Towering tiers from the temple shrines make up most of the profile of Taman Ayun and are a gesture of the people of Mengwi’s reverence to their deified noble ancestors, for the temple complex is considered the ‘mother temple’ of Mengwi.
